Information for Education and Training Providers

Matravers School welcomes enquiries from approved education and training providers who would like to inform pupils about technical education qualifications, apprenticeships and other progression routes.

We are committed to ensuring that pupils hear directly from a broad and impartial range of providers. Encounters should enable pupils to:

• understand the courses or training available;
• learn about entry requirements;
• understand how to apply;
• explore progression opportunities;
• ask questions;
• compare the opportunity with other academic, technical and vocational routes.

Requesting access

Providers wishing to request access should contact:

Requests should include:

• provider and contact details;
• proposed year group;
• proposed content and intended outcomes;
• preferred dates or period;
• details of any resources to be shared with pupils.

All requests will be considered in relation to the needs of pupils, the careers programme, available dates and the school’s safeguarding and visitor arrangements.

Opportunities to contribute

Providers may be invited to support:

• assemblies and pathway presentations;
• careers fairs;
• tutor or curriculum sessions;
• apprenticeship and technical education activities;
• workshops;
• Mock Interviews;
• individual or small-group transition support.
