Matravers students are exceptional and through our amazing Sixth Form we will support students to ensure that their unique set of talents and abilities are recognised. This is through both the opportunities within classrooms and also beyond the classroom through the wide and diverse extra-curricular life of the school.

Our Pathway curriculum, blending both modern and traditional routes, is diverse and enables students to succeed. The flexibility built into our curriculum enables students to build a bespoke package that suits their individual needs. Out expert advice and guidance will ensure that your decisions and choices are well informed and supported.

Our aim is to offer a wide variety of courses that meet the needs of all our students. These include (GCE AS and A2 Level courses and vocational courses at all levels). All students in Year 12 follow a course of at least four AS Levels complemented by a programme of independent study and curriculum enrichment activities. An A Level General Studies examination provides an additional qualification for the majority of our students and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is available for the most able. An increasing number of students embark upon summer university courses, prior to making decisions about the future.

AS Levels stand as qualifications in their own right but also serve as the foundation for further study, with each leading naturally into the full A Level (A2) courses that are taken in Year 13. Most students take three A2 subjects in Year 13 and are encouraged to select their strongest subjects for study at this level.
