Matravers School is holding a school experience day for individuals who may be considering a career in teaching secondary Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Dance, Drama, English, Geography, History, Maths, Music and Physics.  During you visit you will have the opportunity to:

  • talk to teachers about day-to-day school life
  • observe teaching and pastoral work
  • watch a range of lessons and age groups being taught

School experience is a vital part of your teacher training application, and the majority of training providers require you to have it. Getting some classroom experience can also help you to decide whether teaching is right for you. It will strengthen your application and prepare you for potential interviews. If you are interested in finding out more about training to teach in a secondary school, please contact us at pclark@matravers.wilts.sch.uk to book your place.
